The Darkness is Dense
“26o – Clouds are getting so low as to seem like being touched. The sun has no more strength. Darkness is dense; nothing is to be seen. One does not know what time in the day it is.
“Faith is awakening in Brittany. Some prostrate prone on the ground; others stretch their arms out in the shape of a cross, turn their hearts upwards and make atonement to the Sacred Heart. People arise without recognizing one another. Corpses call for burial.”

Reflection on this prophecy:
The lowering of clouds seems to be a meteorological phenomenon, for it would seem to be worldwide.
The darkness, also worldwide, is so thick that it seems that « the sun has no more strength » but, of course, we know that this is not true, for then life on earth could not go on after the 3 Days of Darkness! This expression therefore, points to a darkness which overcomes the sun’s rays, blocking them out from the earth for a duration of 3 days.
In this darkness, “[o]ne does not know what time in the day it is,” or more accurately, one cannot tell the hours of the day during the 3 Days due to the total absence of sunlight.
This will be truly frightening, as we have never experienced this before.
How many souls will have holy hope that all things will be right soon because God is in charge of all events? Not many, and so there will be many deaths from a very strong fear.
But “Faith is awakening in Brittany,” and this Divine Chastisement’s purpose, to bring God’s people back to Him, is coming alive. The Sacred Heart of Jesus told this to Marie-Julie Jahenny many times.
People are reaching out to God as their Saviour; they are the humble in heart who recognize their own sinfulness and mankind’s sinfulness. They also, perhaps, offer themselves up as victim souls, for others to be spared. These people lie down “prone on the ground; others stretch their arms out in the shape of a cross, turn their hearts upwards and make atonement to the Sacred Heart.”
As people realize that the earth’s shaking has stopped, as they perhaps begin to realize that there is warm, steady sunlight creeping into the room through cracks of light around thick window coverings, they know that God has spared them.
They who have reached out to God in His Mercy have been saved, and they are changed: “People arise without recognizing one another.”
Gone is the fear, gone is the selfishness. Now each worries about his or her neighbor.
Life must begin again on this earth: wounds must be tended to, modesty will call for coverings, and good water must be found.
The fact that “[c]orpses call for burial” can point to two equally true occurrences: bodies will be rotting and the air unhealthy until bodies are buried or burned; and also that love of neighbour will have increased in each heart so that one will work to bury one’s neighbours out of a love for them and a sincere hope that they converted and repented before their deaths, obtaining a Baptism of Desire.
Simply put, the survivors will have holy Hope. This will enable them to live on despite the knowledge or fear that their loved ones have died.
