The Church in Exile and The Three Days of Darkness
Aug. 25, 2018
Just as the Prophet Daniel shows the evil of the two false witnesses who sought to destroy Susanna's good reputation, so two evil spirits are revealed to Marie-Julie Jahenny as destructive enemies of the Papacy and the Church.
The Prophecy:
I contemplate France’s heart, tied on its middle part in a kind of red tie. I see it struggling.
I see unknown men, in a hideous shape, rushing on with fury, filled with a terrible avenging.
“For long enough,” they shout, “we have been submissive to France. They want to crown her with lilies, we will give her the red ribbon as her head-band. No, no, never will the royal crown rule in this place”… Upon those words the Virgin arises and presents those infuriated people with the crown of lilies.
“Here is,” [S]he says, “the crown preserved for France. The one who is to wear it will not show up amidst France, his cradle land, as soon as that terrible struggle will begin, but amidst all those great events. Heaven’s voice will call along France’s Saviour. Safe and sound, he will come through those infuriated armaments, in order to be crowned before those fightings are over.”
--I hear them saying:
“Once we have torn down the one who is ruling, once we are victorious, we will revenge ourselves upon our brethren who preserve their religion. What is that cursed religion which brings dishonour upon France?”
--France cries out in a loud voice:
“Why should I have fallen to so barbarian hands? Who will be able to remedy my misfortunes unless Heaven comes to my help?”
France’s First Enemy
Upon those words her friends, or rather her enemies, grow still more irritated, one above all, who stands among them and whom I notice quite well.
That enemy to France is tall and thin. His face is lengthwise; his hair is gray. His eyes are big, showing fierceness, knavery. He seems to be at the climax of his happiness. I do not know that nasty-looking man. He picks up France’s heart, places it under his right foot and says:
“For a long time now, I have been working for you: I am still working and you resist. I have been a friend to the throne which left you. And since then I have assumed the government of men.
“A few months ago I lost a very dear friend and I am left in sorrow. My confreres rejoice. I want to trample religion underfoot. Well then! France, I do trample you underfoot unless you abjure religion.”
France cries out in a sour voice:
“I respect God: I respect His temple; I respect French Christians.”
That man speaks again, addressing his friends:
“Well then! Let us all join together and sign a new treaty!”
--O kind Mother, lead me away from here! I cannot stay any longer; I cannot gaze upon that man who frightens me.
“My child, listen and repeat everything. Do obey.”
I see part of France’s enemies gathering around that man about whom it would be difficult to say anything good. There are two groups now. That hideous man goes on telling those around him:
“You belong to my party… Let us seek reinforcement from every side. I held the bridoon of my own; I lost no one of them. Others are still joining my party. The friend I lost would have backed me up: I do not know why he passed away that fast.”
France cries out:
“Yes, I have enlisted in that secret society: I can no more get out of it. But some faithful Christians are left who stretch out their hand to me in my misfortune. I do not want to lose the good one: with all my heart, in presence of God and of the Blessed Virgin, I abjure; I renounce that destructive society which dragged me into the abyss.”
The man always keeps his foot on France’s heart, who rises again painstakingly, and with the help of an invisible force rises above that nasty-looking mask.
France’s Second Enemy
I see the tie squeezing France’s heart turning red again. Another man is taking hold of it. That one is quite short, thick waisted, his forehead somewhat bald; his hair is not gray as the other one’s. His face is red and wearing a pointed beard. His [stabbing] eyes are so big as to look like coming out of their sockets when they gaze upon French Catholics. That awful man tells France:
“Since a long time I wanted to reshape you according to my fancy, but always you escaped me. Here is the moment when I will keep firm hold on you. I do not want any king in France, neither I nor my committee. We do not want it. I belong to the strongest party and I gather my own together, who are already in a large number. I wrote a great deal: I am endeavouring to destroy everywhere the root of religion… Let us firmly cling together, sincere friends! We have already reached a great deal of results. Let us make use of the whole of our power to spread around on every side perturbation and fright.
Then, about ten o’clock in the morning, turning to the direction where the sun happens to be at that hour, he goes on:
“Eh! You who are expecting in prison the assistance of Frenchmen, you are mistaken if you think you may recuperate your belongings!”
I think he is looking in the direction of Rome and that his threats are directed that way.
“Oh!” he goes on saying, “If I were allowed to enter that city with my retinue, soon I would close the eyes of the one who is the chief of that religion; I would place him under my feet, and we would dance as around a great feast-meal.”
--But my kind mother, let me get out of here. Those nasty-looking men make me afraid.
“Listen, my child,” says the Blessed Virgin. “Get to know that it is very necessary, not for yourself but for my two servants, for those things to be known. Because later on, they will be in a position to retrace, under oath, my true words.”

Reflection on this prophecy:
For this prophecy, we return to the book in English translation, Prophecies of La Fraudais, which is a compilation of the major prophecies for readers of English.
Whenever Marie-Julie would see France appear before God and the Virgin Mary, France would be in the form of a woman. (Recall that many languages recognize feminine or masculine names for countries, and so this is logical symbolism).
In this prophecy, France is unhappy, and her heart is “struggling” due to a “red tie” which is tied tightly at the middle of the heart, turning red with blood.
Marie-Julie sees “unknown men”, probably meaning that they are not Frenchmen, but rather foreigners, “in a hideous shape” which makes one think of how demons and sinners are made extremely ugly by their sins.
These men are “filled with a terrible avenging” against the French Monarchy. They say:
“They want to crown her [France] with lilies [the French monarchy], [but] we will give her the red ribbon as her head-band.”
The red ribbon is bloody conflict, as in civil war. The color red is also commonly associated with communism, probably due to its push for conquest via wars and revolutions. The red tie
around France’s heart seems to be communism, as these foul enemies say that they will take the crown from France’s head and “give her the red ribbon as her head-band.” And France certainly got a socialist government
after the murder of King Louis XVI.
These evil spirits who rule in France declare that “never will the royal crown rule in this place.”
But God has other plans. He knows that Frenchmen have accepted sin and godlessness (atheistic communism) as their principles for life, but He will give His faithful children the Monarch that they need.
And so, “the Virgin arises and presents those infuriated people [the communists] with the crown of lilies [the French Monarch’s rule].”
The fact that the French Monarch is presented by the Virgin Mary would seem to indicate that he comes to the aid of France and of the Church by graces obtained through the intercession of our Lady.
And what does our Blessed Virgin Mother tell us about this Monarch? That he is born in France, but is not living in France at this time of widespread atheistic communism: “[He] will not show up amidst France, his cradle land, as soon as that terrible struggle will begin, but amidst all those great events.”
When the French Monarch does appear in France, deadly atheistic communism is still to be defeated. He is accepted as King by some Frenchmen, but the ugly fight against atheistic communism within France is not finished:
“Safe and sound, he will come through those infuriated armaments, in order to be crowned before those fightings are over.”
Then we learn that the “unknown men” that Marie-Julie sees, who are so violently against the monarchy being restored, are also behind the attacks against Holy Mother Church.
These two evil spirits have the Papacy as their ultimate target: “Once we have torn down the one who is ruling [the Pope], once we are victorious [1958], we will revenge ourselves upon our brethren who preserve their religion.”
These enemies are proud, powerful men who like to brag: “What is that cursed religion which brings dishonour upon France?”
And here is the false pride of the atheist, who thinks himself totally independent, a god.
Frenchmen have, unfortunately, embraced atheistic communism’s ideals, so that France’s “friends” are actually “her enemies”.
And the worst of the enemies, thus France’s first enemy, is described. Pay close attention to the descriptions which follow: it is possible that Marie-Julie is being shown the anti-christ himself, who then is alive today!
First, there is a distinct physical description:
“That enemy to France is tall and thin. His face is lengthwise; his hair is gray. His eyes are big, showing fierceness, knavery.”
Marie-Julie also tells us that his attacks against Holy Mother Church and all Catholics are what make his evil heart happy. When she says that he “seems to be at the climax of his happiness” this tells us that he delights in having control over all governments and, thus, all people.
And then Marie-Julie gives us a very important clue. She says, “I do not know that nasty-looking man.”
In saying this, Marie-Julie is telling us that even though he passes himself off as being French, he is not French by blood. In fact, other Catholic prophecies tell us that just as Christ was a Jew, the anti-christ will be of the Jewish race also (e.g. see Fr. Bernard Kramer’s book, The Book of Destiny).
What this evil-looking man says also seems to identify him as the anti-christ:
He says that he has “assumed the government of men.” (Notice that he does not say just Frenchmen, but simply "men", as in all mankind, globally).
And how has this proud man gotten to control the world? It is simply through how the world works, through money. He would have to be the wealthiest of men.
When he threatens France, we see that every country could be equally threatened:
“I want to trample religion underfoot. Well then! France, I do trample you underfoot unless you abjure religion.”
He will thus trample the sovereignty of countries underfoot through the political and military resources that his vast wealth provides him: paying armies to attack; using his financial control to call in bank loans so that he can threaten to bankrupt any country, bringing any government and its people to their knees, unless they go along with his demands regarding everything, but first and foremost regarding the Catholic Church. The Church of Christ, His Bride, must be infiltrated even up to the Papacy, be falsely accused, and her reputation ruined (recall the prophet Daniel’s story of Susanna).
This one is possessed by the devil, and this is why the destruction of Christ’s Church is his happiness.
France is desperate, and, before God, she turns events around at last by confessing her sins and abjuring them:
“Yes, I have enlisted in that secret society: I can no more get out of it. But some faithful Christians are left … I do not want to lose the good one [the French Monarch]: with all my heart, in the presence of God and of the Blessed Virgin, I abjure; I renounce that destructive society which dragged me into the abyss.”
And even though the anti-christ keeps his foot over France’s heart, a symbol for keeping her enslaved to his wealthy power, she has (after her return to God) God’s Divine assistance; and so, “with the help of an invisible force she rises above that nasty-looking mask.”
Why a nasty-looking “mask” and not a "face"? There are many possibilities, three of which may be: because the anti-christ becomes fully possessed by the devil; because he pretends to be helpful and logical, which he is not; because he pretends to be a Frenchman, which he is not!
France’s second enemy is also seen and described for us.
From the physical description he seems to be Vladimir Lenin:
“…quite short, thick waisted, his forehead somewhat bald; his hair is not gray as the other one’s. His face is red and wearing a pointed beard. His stabbing eyes are so big as to look like coming out of their sockets when they gaze upon French Catholics.”
When Lenin’s Bolsheviks held their revolt in St. Petersburg in 1905, the masonic government in France was waging its war against Catholic Frenchmen.
This enemy describes himself further when he says:
“I belong to the strongest party and I gather my own together, who are already in a large number. I wrote a great deal: I am endeavouring to destroy everywhere the root of religion….We have already reached a great deal of results. Let us make use of our power to spread around on every side perturbation and fright.”
How much has Lenin written in his lifetime? According to Wikipedia, his writings comprise 54 volumes, each of about 650 pages! Does this seem humanly possible?!
Lenin was orchestrating the Bolshevik uprisings during the reign of Pope St. Pius X, and the effects of communism were already being felt in France and other European countries:
“The French Republic was waging a bitter war on the Church. The government suppressed religious orders, attacked religious education, and in 1905 unilaterally denounced the concordat, separated Church and State, and confiscated Church property. When [Pope St. Pius X] forbade Catholics to form the associations required by the government to run the churches, things looked desperate … the French Church struggled on. In Spain and Portugal, too, Pius had the grief of seeing the Church attacked” (p. 514, Popes Through the Ages, by Joseph Brusher, S.J.).
Marie-Julie says that this pointy-bearded enemy appears to be “looking in the direction of Rome and that his threats are directed that way.”
Thus, we can imagine that he is addressing Pope St. Pius X, when he says:
“Eh! You who are expecting in prison the assistance of Frenchmen, you are mistaken if you think you may recuperate your belongings!”
And then the satanic possession of Vladimir Lenin comes into light as he speaks of a diabolical “feast”:
“… soon I would close the eyes of the one who is the chief of that religion; I would place him under my feet, and we would dance as around a great feast-meal.”
Marie-Julie is terrified by the diabolical depravity which is being suggested. She says, “But my kind Mother, let me get out of here. Those nasty-looking men make me afraid.”
But there is an important reason why Marie-Julie has been shown these two diabolical men. This message must be read by the two servants, who are possibly two Popes, “Because later on, they will be in a position to retrace, under oath, my true words.”
Which two popes are these? Possibly Pope St. Pius X and Pope Gregory XVII, the former living through the beginning of atheistic communism’s orchestrated attacks against Holy Mother Church in many countries at once; and the latter, our beloved Pope Gregory XVII, whose silent exile (a “fierce knavery”) is forced by a power which is able to take over the Church herself after his election on October 26, 1958. More than likely, there was already during this time much financial (and thus political) power being secretly wielded by the young man who is to become the fully-possessed anti-christ of today.
And as for the oath taken by the two servants of God? Surely they will be, like the young prophet Daniel, proving the innocence of the Bride of Christ against all heinous allegations.
You see, the Papacy was pushed aside, but the Papacy, as the head of the Church, stayed true; it was never inconstant. Pope Gregory XVII suffered for 31 years according to Divine Providence, and when Divine Providence provided the means, He also made cardinals, thus ensuring the succession of the Papacy with Pope Gregory XVIII. The Church, even in her exile, has ever remained the true wife to Christ, like Susanna.
And the accusers? They will be found guilty of much “fierce knavery” against the loyal soldiers of Christ. Lies will be brought to light, unjust traps will be Justly judged, and the previously secret martyrdoms shall be the cause of awe and rejoicing among true hearts.
The Final Judgment shall soon reveal all. Come, Lord Jesus, come!
