THE TERRIBLE AGE
“Know that, in order to be admitted into the feast of My Tenderness, you must suffer, groan, be overwhelmed on all sides.”
Our Lord says:
“It is Me. I come to speak to you for a few moments before giving freedom to the holy Archangel. I come to rejoice with all of My children who participate with the bitterness of My Sorrows.
“Courage! If all of you are, for the glory of My Name, at the foot of the Cross, drinking a few drops from My bitter Chalice, be proud and bless My adorable Sweetness.
“Keep, more than ever, holy prudence. Be reserved in all things, because here is the Terrible Age when the enemy comes, in a last effort, to act with full power. I leave him with this short period of liberty, before chaining him in the belly of his abyss. Will you follow this advice?”
--O my Jesus, I will be loyal, I will keep holy prudence.
“My children, I warn you of only one thing: I desire that you not be troubled, not brought down, not frightened, when the menacing voice will make itself heard. Make Me this promise, so as to console Me.”
--I take upon me, miserable sinner, the thought of all my brothers. Yes, my Jesus, we will all remain calm and in the most profound peace.
“I do not address Myself to you… However, I thank you for your word… Do you suffer? It is for you that I now speak.”
--It is nothing in comparison with what Thou has suffered for me.
“Know that, in order to be admitted into the feast of My Tenderness, you must suffer, groan, be overwhelmed on all sides.”
--May Thy adorable Will be done!
I contemplate Saint Michael placed over a large, brilliant ball. He has extended wings, pure and beautiful. He carries a long and large sword.
“Now let’s go!” he says.
--Good Saint Michael, do not go too fast. You are very determined!
“Here I am at liberty. I received mighty powers from the Father of Mercy. Here is this terrible sword which the Sacred Heart has blessed to exterminate these ungrateful enemies. Do not cry anymore, combatants for the Glory of God. Despite terror, rejoice!
--All the same, good Saint Michael, that which you say is not very charitable!
“The seed of charity is not extinguished in you, friends of God, but see these men who will not participate in the victory, see if they have any charity for you!”
--Good Saint Michael, it does not concern us.
“Those who direct this fatal government…”
--Enough! Holy Archangel, I do not like to talk about that.
“It is a penance.”
--All right then, I am fine.
“It is the Will of God. Here they are then, with their victories and their plots, reduced under my power. I have rights over them. I show them my sword and I say to them: Citizens of the world…”
--Holy Archangel, I do not like to go there.
“Citizens of the world, we say to you who have a power that is said to come neither from Heaven nor from the earth, take up your weapons and fight! I will stir roughly those who say: ‘Our power comes neither from high nor from low.’ Their power is very low and mounted on poles of the earth. Sooner than they think, they will find themselves devoid of everything.
“Men in power have made their plots, but they do not hear anymore, and their discord reaches even to anger… They seem to triumph and carry the victory by very strong and impious laws. Numerous voices cry: ‘Death to the Church! Death to France!’ The voices of demons will mix with the voices of men in power.
“It will not be long before the storm is heard over all of France…
“If God had not promised to save France, these people would be sorry! Yes, He will save her [France], but not without making her undergo justice.”

Reflection on this prophecy:
Certainly, we have been living in this “Terrible Age” since October 26, 1958, when the Holy Father was pushed aside, to endure 31 years of being the Pope in Red (a term first used by Anna Katerina Emmerich when referring to Pope Gregory XVII).
This age is terrible because it is “when the enemy comes, in a last effort, to act with full power.”
Yes, this coming October 26, the Papacy and the Church Militant will have been in exile for 60 years...
But Christ tells us to be faithful and strong:
“Courage! If all of you are, for the glory of My Name, at the foot of the Cross, drinking a few drops from My bitter Chalice, be proud and bless My adorable Sweetness.”
As members of the Body of Jesus Christ, we must understand the importance of holy sufferings: “Know that, in order to be admitted into the feast of My Tenderness, you must suffer, groan, be overwhelmed on all sides.”
Christ encourages us to “[k]eep, more than ever, holy prudence. Be reserved in all things…”
And then He exhorts us to always have holy confidence:
“My children, I warn you of only one thing: I desire that you not be troubled, not brought down, not frightened, when the menacing voice will make itself heard. Make Me this promise, so as to console Me.”
It is true that we are living through a time of horrendous injustices, but the actual focus of this prophecy seems to be on the spiritual battle being waged against piety; that is, religious obligation to God and His Vicar: "They seem to triumph and carry the victory by very strong and impious laws."
And Saint Michael tells Marie-Julie something that is also important for us to think about:
“The seed of charity is not extinguished in you, friends of God, but see these men who will not participate in the victory, see if they have any charity for you!”
Yes, each one of us has a real battle on our hands. In its essence it is a battle for our eternal souls.
The Church Militant, in Her Exile, is surrounded by loud voices who push the Pope, the Vicar of Christ, aside, as if He is irrelevant. Their battle cry truly is “ ‘Death to the Church!’ ”
But we must remain steadfast and prudent, for this is the age when “[t]he voices of demons will mix with the voices of men in power.”
We who are in the Barque of Saint Peter are safe.
Hail, Pope Gregorius XVIII !
O glorious Archangel Saint Michael, Prince of the Heavenly Host, be our defense in the terrible warfare!
