The Church in Exile and The Three Days of Darkness

I understand this word from the foot of the Cross:
“If souls want to possess the eminent grace of perfection, they must first draw themselves up to the Cross. It is the ladder for climbing up to sainthood.”
After this word, five wounds appear. It seems that there is only one drop of water that is capable of quenching a soul burning with love. The fountains of the earth turn into furnaces; the freshest air is concentrated in the love of the five wounds. Our Lord wants to give us a foretaste of Eternal Love. How much He had to love us to deliver His limbs to such pains!
Our Lord says:
“Here are the times when, as on a beautiful wedding day, I am about to remove the barrier which closes the hollow of My wounds. I will leave some of the opening visible at My feet and at My hands. My nails will be raised to allow souls to pass. But, in these present days, I still need to drink the guilty ingratitudes offered to My adorable wounds.
“Never was bitterness more painful than at that time when the bottom of the chalice is the most bitter. Such is the remedy in a vial: when the vial is finished, there is still bitterness.
“Those who have not drunk but one liquor apparently without bitterness, for them bitterness will become worse to their hearts than that of My chalice – My chalice which is also yours and that of My friends --. Never will they have a joy so perfect and a peace so peaceful as those of My friends who await My Coming, which every day approaches.”
I am on the path which, from Heaven, leads me on the earth. I came out of the eternal vaults and, as I approach, I see all the earth.
“I let My five wounds become full of a Divine liquor where souls will come to embalm themselves with a perfume which is pure tenderness. This perfume, I give it already1to my friends as a proof that I will give to them all the pledges promised by My adorable Cross.”
Footnote 1: An allusion, perhaps, to the perfume which comes out of Marie-Julie's cell. [Her small bedroom is called her cell --Ed.].
