THE CHURCH WILL BE EXTINGUISHED, YET WILL REVIVE

Our Lord says:

“The silent persecution, already in all its awful ampleness, is whispering in a low voice against the Bound of Faith. Slyly closed upon themselves at present time, the hearts will uprise violently against the Pontiff of My Church, and within a short time, the lightning, the forerunner of a forthcoming storm, will drop its sparks on the centre of the Eternal City.

“The Church is destined to put up with the most awful affronts. It will vanish away like the bodily life of Christians; but it will rise again in the midst of trials and its triumph will be secured.

“Tell My children not to harbour any doubt about her forthcoming triumph, because doubting would be offending Me.”         (February 23, 1882)

Reflection on this prophecy:

 This week’s prophecy assures us that the Church, that is, the true Papacy, will be restored.

Interestingly, we did see lightning hit Saint Peter’s Basilica during anti-pope Ratzinger (Benedict 16).

There were three successive lightning strikes on the dome of the basilica, and here, given to Marie-Julie in 1882, we read:

“…the lightning, the forerunner of a forthcoming storm, will drop its sparks on the center of the Eternal City.”

The basilica is the center of life in Vatican City. It is open to everyone.

The on-going planned attacks against Holy Mother Church has indeed seen “the most awful affronts”.

But after doing away with true Catholic Cardinals, Bishops, Priests, the true Sacraments, and all authentic teachings and dogmas, the enemies (physical and spiritual) are now turned against the Faithful.

These attacks against everything we hold most dear, such as the sacredness of human life from conception, has been battling us with demonic fury for almost 64 years now.

“It [the Church] will vanish away like the bodily life of Christians”.

Our lives today are a moment-to-moment battle for our minds, hearts, and our eternal souls.

Just as soldiers receive wounds daily, we can expect to also get wounds to our souls.

But we have recourse to the Jesus Christ Our Lord (in prayer), and we can ask Him that His Precious Blood heal the wounds of our souls.

What a perfect intention for the fifth decade of the Sorrowful Mysteries!

We must always place our confidence in Christ’s love for us. He died for each one of us!

And yes, there will be a Papal Restoration:

“… but it [the Church] will rise again in the midst of trials and its triumph will be secured.”

Christ tells us “not to harbour any doubt”.

And this last point is the most important:

Christ says: “[D]oubting would be offending Me.”

Our love is a grateful love: His Blood will heal us, and our victory with Him victory is assured!

Veni, Jesu, amor mi!  Come, Jesus, my love!

     [Canon 1825]  If anyone then says that it is not from the institution of Christ the Lord Himself, or by divine right that the blessed Peter has perpetual successors in the primacy over the universal Church, or that the Roman Pontiff is not the successor of blessed Peter in the same primacy, let him be anathema.
