A Senior's Perspective

I'm 87.  Should I make the move to Brittany?  If I stay in Montana what can I expect?

MJJP:  Dear Patricia,

Brits are retiring in Brittany.  Check out the ex-pat websites for British seniors retiring in Brittany.  There are some excellent ones.  

As a retiree, France will not require you to pass any language test, and you can drive with your international license, and return to the States to get it renewed when it expires.

All France will want to know is that your pension or some income will be coming to your French bank account while you are living in France.

Of course, you will have to look into health care.  Again, these British ex-pat websites should be helpful.

If you go to northern Brittany, then you can simply take a ferry across the English Channel and you're in English-speaking England, so you would not feel too far away from your language.

In Montana, you can expect that most of the crops will be destroyed, making survival difficult for a few years.  

Our Holy Mother did say that our property would be protected, so you could stay at home and begin stocking provisions.  For example, look in this website under Home for the First Aid Kit.  

No matter where we are for the 3 Days of Darkness, or how likely or unlikely it is that we will survive due to health issues, we have to realise that our preparations will be of great benefit to those who will survive.  

Don't just store food, but store heirloom seeds also!

Make your provisions known to your family.  Even if they do not see what is coming, when the time comes, they will be grateful to you and to God.

Make sure you have plenty of statues, rosaries, and pre-1958 prayerbooks and good Catechisms such as the Baltimore Catechism or the Penny Catechism.  

Books on the Saints would also be inspirational reading for those who survive.
