Ivy is not a medicinal plant!

Vincente writes:

For hawthorn, Our Lady said to present them to her on the Monday after August 15.
What indications does the Holy Virgin give for St. John's wort, ivy and violets? Thanks.

MJJP replies:

Hi, Vincente. Great question. First of all, ivy is not a medicinal plant, and it is not one of the plants to use for healing.

As for St. John''s wort (to calm and soothe us) and violets (for headaches), we are not asked to present these. We simply are to use them. Only the English Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) is to be presented to the Blessed Virgin Mary for her to bless it.
